07.09.2010 Hoiatusteade Stewart Alexandra(m) ja Global Loans and Investment Company tegevuse kohta (Holland)The AFM warns consumers about Stewart Alexandra(m), trading as Global Loans and Investment Company (Stewart Alexandra(m)). The Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) warns consumers not to accept any credit offers made by Stewart Alexandra(m). The AFM is of the opinion that Stewart Alexandra(m) has offered and/or offers credit in the Netherlands without having been granted a licence or an exemption. Offering credit in the Netherlands without a license or an exemption constitutes a violation of article 2:60 of the Act on Financial Supervision. Stewart Alexandra(m) uses the following contact details when offering credit: Email address: Names: The AFM advises consumers wanting to do business with an organisation or individual to check the relevant register on the AFM's website prior to doing so in order to verify that the organisation or individual is registered and authorised to offer credit in the Netherlands. The AFM further urgently advises consumers to consult the AFM’s warning lists prior to entering into a loan agreement or credit facility with a party. It is also unwise to pay any fees prior to having received the loan or credit facility. The AFM advises consumers to be extra vigilant with respect to organisations or individuals who use free email addresses such as gmail, aol and hotmail. The AFM has published two warning lists on www.afm.nl/waarschuwingslijsten, (1) Warnings AFM. This list shows organisations and individuals who do not have the necessary licences required by law. It also lists organisations that do not provide a prospectus with their securities, which is also a legal requirement. (2) Foreign warninglist. This list shows organisations against which foreign supervisory authorities have issued warnings.
