Aggregate data for credit institutions

The aggregate data for credit institutions are compiled from reports submitted to Finantsinspektsioon by credit institutions, including branches of foreign credit institutions.

The aggregate data include data on the branches abroad of Estonian credit institutions, but not data on subsidiaries abroad or in Estonia. The reports are received by Finantsinspektsioon and Eesti Pank working together. Analytical aggregate data are published on the Eesti Pank website.

Aggregate data on operational risk loss events and incidents

The aggregate data on operational risk loss events and incidents are compiled from reports submitted to Finantsinspektsioon by credit institutions, including branches of foreign credit institutions that have a significant influence in the Estonian market.

Credit institutions compile and submit these reports only on a consolidated basis. Credit institutions that are not part of a consolidation group of credit institutions, and branches of foreign credit institutions that have an important significant influence in the Estonian market compile and submit these reports on an individual basis.

The reports give the operational risk loss events and incidents where the gross loss, potential loss or extraordinary income arising is at least 2500 euros. The reports also show loss events and incidents grouped by type, where the gross loss, potential loss or extraordinary income of an individual case is less than 2500 euros, but where the gross loss, potential loss of extraordinary income of the combined individual events of the same type (the same business line, event type or subtype) exceeds that amount.

For operational risk incidents, the reports note those incidents where the possible consequences are hard to assess in monetary terms, but which have a significant influence on the credit institution or consolidation group of the credit institution.

Publication of the aggregate data

The aggregate data for credit institutions are published quarterly on the first banking day of the third month after the quarter.
