At the annual meeting held on 23 March, the Supervisory Board of the Financial Supervision Authority approved the 2017 annual report of supervision. The Supervisory Board also decided to refund the surplus of the last year’s budget of the Financial Supervision Authority in the amount of 754,447.92 euros to the subjects of supervision.
“The Financial Supervision Authority performs its functions with professionalism and commitment,” said Toomas Tõniste, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Financial Supervision Authority and the Minister of Finance. “Last year was very busy for supervision, as in addition to its ordinary activities, the FSA also contributed a great deal to the work of the working groups of the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Financial supervision ended the year with a budgetary surplus, which will now be uniformly and proportionally refunded to the market participants.”
The head of the Financial Supervision Authority will introduce the 2017 Annual Report to the Riigikogu in May.
