Financial Supervision Authority revokes activity licence of Trigon Securities
The Financial Supervision Authority has revoked the activity licence issued to the investment company AS Trigon Securities as well as its additional activity licence that allowed it to dispense investment advice. The activity licences were revoked in connection with the reorganization of the activities of the group. The investment company AS Trigon Wealth Management, which is part of the Trigon Group, will continue activity.
The Financial Supervision Authority believes that clients’ justified interests enjoy sufficient protection in connection with the winding-up of the investment company. Provision of service to clients has been ended and made impossible by clients. AS Trigon Securities affirms that no complaints from consumers have been filed, nor claims stemming from the termination of customer agreements and that AS Trigon Securities does not have unfulfilled transaction orders given by customers.
Six investment firms operate in Estonia on the basis of the activity licence issued by the Financial Supervision Authority. The largest investment firms in terms of both assets and income earned in 2011 are AS KIT Finance Europe and Admiral Markets AS.
