LHV Pank AS has received authorisation to issue bonds

The European Central Bank has authorised LHV Pank AS to issue bonds at the proposal of Finantsinspektsioon. This allows LHV to start issuing bonds, but at the same time it must hold sufficient loans and liquid assets in its covered bond portfolio. Nothing will change for clients who have taken a loan from the bank.

Swedbank fined for serious deficiencies in its measures to combat money laundering

Swedbank AB has had serious deficiencies in its management of the risk of money laundering in its Baltic operations. This is the conclusion of parallel investigations into parent company Swedbank AB and its subsidiary bank Swedbank AS in Estonia that were conducted by Swedish Finansinspektionen and Estonian Finantsinspektsioon.

Finantsinspektsioon has fined AS SEB Pank

Finantsinspektsioon fined SEB Pank 2500 euros for failing to meet the requirements in providing financial services. The bank made signing a contract for financial services contingent on ownership of shares in a mandatory pension fund, and by doing so committed a misdemeanour.
