Finantsinspektsioon fined SEB Pank

Finantsinspektsioon fined AS SEB Pank (registry code 10004252) 19,000 euros for a misdemeanour, as technical problems during an update to its mobile and internet banking software caused the bank to release confidential banking information to third parties without authorisation.

By doing this, AS SEB Pank was in breach of §13410(2) of the Credit Institutions Act. The maximum fine permitted by law for a legal entity committing such an offence is 32,000 euros. AS SEB Pank may dispute the decision as allowed by law.
