Finantsinspektsioon granted AS TBB Pank permission on 14 April to terminate its services voluntarily. The operating licence of AS TBB Pank is consequently revoked, as is the right of the AS TBB Pank subsidiary AS TBB Liising to operate as a creditor. The decision of Finantsinspektsioon also gives AS TBB Pank the right to start its voluntary winding up process.
The market share of AS TBB Pank for deposits was 0.003% and for loans by total outstanding stock it was 0.02%. The voluntary winding up of the bank does not affect the stability of the Estonian financial sector.
AS TBB Pank has already made efforts to inform its clients and cooperation partners of its plans for winding up. This is a voluntary decision that comes from the strategic choices made by the bank itself. The bank will itself organise the distribution of deposits. Additional information on the winding up process can be found if needed on the website of the bank at www.tbb.ee.
There are from today eight credit institutions operating in Estonia with a licence issued by Finantsinspektsioon. The list of credit institutions can be found in the register of market participants on the Finantsinspektsioon website.
