Finantsinspektsioon management board Siim Tammer will continue to represent Finantsinspektsioon on the Auditing Activities Oversight Board

Member of the The membership of the Auditing Activities Oversight Board changed on 1 January. By decree of the Ministry of Finance, Siim Tammer was withdrawn as chair of the board, and he will continue as an ordinary member of the board and will represent Finantsinspektsioon on it.

Siim Tammer had chaired the Auditing Activities Oversight Board since December 2014. He became a member of the Finantsinspektsioon management board from the start of 2020. He said that the Auditing Activities Oversight Board had changed substantially during those years, and had become essentially independent in its oversight. “This is undoubtedly an area that provides many challenges, and it is good to develop it together with the current professional team”.

The Auditing Activities Oversight Board is an independent body of the Board of Auditors, and its role is to oversee auditing activities and to promote and protect the quality of the professional work of sworn auditors.
