Finantsinspektsioon issued a precept to Salva Kindlustuse AS (registry code 10284984) on 16 December requiring the insurer to remedy deficiencies identified during an on-site inspection.
Finantsinspektsioon decided on 16 December to remove the insurance broker Vagner Insurance Broker AS (register code 10174793) from the list of insurance brokers as it found that the company had committed serious faults.
Finantsinspektsioon issued the first operating licence as a debt collection company on 11 December to Julianus Inkasso OÜ. The Debt Collection and Debt Purchase Act requires all debt collection companies to apply for a licence if they collect or buy up debts arising from the credit contracts of banks or creditors.
The European Union's Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) will start to apply in Estonia on 17 January, and the requirements for companies operating in the European financial sector will consequently be harmonised.
Chair of the Finantsinspektsioon management board Kilvar Kessler said that the supervisor cannot tolerate abuse of trust in the financial sector for criminal aims. “Finantsinspektsioon always responds appropriately to suspicions of criminal activity, which also means taking into account other ongoing or potential cases”, he added.
Finantsinspektsioon issued a precept on 2 December to Ühisarveldused AS (register code 14192799) as it identified shortcomings during an inspection in organising general governance, in capital management and ensuring the correctness of reporting, and in compliance with and adherence to internal regulations.
