Finantsinspektsioon issued precepts to five creditors

Finantsinspektsioon issued precepts on 16 September to Autokiirpant OÜ, Berger Financial Group OÜ, Invest in OÜ, Kinnistulaen OÜ and Mercury Credit OÜ, requiring them to submit their audited annual financial reports for 2023 to Finantsinspektsioon.

Finantsinspektsioon has withdrawn the licence as a creditor from Tele2 Eesti AS

On 2 September Finantsinspektsioon withdrew the licence as a creditor issued on 11 April 2016 to Tele2 Eesti AS. The licence was withdrawn following an application from the company itself.

Tele2 Eesti Aktsiaselts confirmed to Finantsinspektsioon that it did not have any current consumer credit contracts at the time when the licence was withdrawn.

Finantsinspektsioon is holding an information seminar on Thursday 22 February at 10.00-12.00 to explain the requirements for the provision of basic payment services. The information seminar is aimed primarily at banks and their branches, but can also be followed by anyone who is interested in the subject.

Member of the Finantsinspektsioon management board Andre Nõmm spoke about the risks of AI in his opening address at the annual conference on internal audit organised by the business newspaper Äripäev. He said that the risks from AI systems clearly need to be managed by a human in the loop, but they should not be regulated too heavily.

Maksekeskus AS was granted a licence to operate as a credit intermediary

Finantsinspektsioon issued a licence to Maksekeskus AS on Monday 22 July to operate as a credit intermediary, giving the company the right to intermediate the issuing of credit to consumers for a fee or to enable the signing of credit contracts.
