Finantsinspektsioon made changes to the insolvency ranking published on its website in November 2021. The new form of the insolvency ranking takes account of the order of preference for claims and liabilities set out in the Financial Crisis Prevention and Resolution Act.
The table is intended to be used for reporting on the minimum requirement for own funds and eligible liabilities (MREL) by those for whom Finantsinspektsioon has set an MREL. The list in the table starts from the claims that are lowest in the order of preference. The European Commission passed an Implementing Regulation in 2021 that set standards for supervisory reporting and disclosure in connection with an MREL.
